Pentax XW is a series of professional astronomical glasses characterized by a wide field of view and excellent correction of chromatic aberrations and distortions.
The Pentax XW 20 mm model is equipped with a six-element optical system, part of which is made of low-dispersion lanthanum glass. The lenses are arranged in four groups and are covered with a multi-layer Pentax Super-Multi Coating coating with a light transmittance exceeding 96 percent for the 560 nm line, and in order to ensure the best contrast, the location of the diaphragm limiting internal light reflections was selected by computer simulations.
The casing of the eyepiece has been additionally sealed, which means that fog or even a falling drizzle does not pose any threat to it.
