The Optolong Venus-U 1.25 "single-band filter is designed for near ultraviolet photography. Especially recommended - as the name suggests - for photographing structures in the Venusian atmosphere.

The filter is made of high-quality glass substrate Schott B 270 with a thickness of 1.85 mm. It transmits more than 80 percent of radiation in the range of 320 - 400 nm, while blocking almost completely the other spectral lines, including bands from mercury and sodium lamps.

In order to further improve the optical parameters, this filter is covered with a full multi-layer anti-reflection coating applied using ion implantation techniques. Thanks to this, the coatings are not only perfect in terms of optics, but also very durable and scratch-resistant.

Warning! Some monochrome cameras have a UV / IR blocking filter installed, which must be removed before the Optolong Venus-U 1.25 "filter can be used.
