Baader HSO 31 mm F / 2 is a set of three professional narrowband filters that allow you to take photos in the Hα, SII and OIII bands for use in filter wheels with a 31 mm carousel (they are rimless).

These filters allow, inter alia, the full use of the capabilities of astrographs in the Rowe-Ackermann-Schmidt (RASA) system, which are characterized by a shortened focal length and a huge f / 2 light, thus making it possible to ± c imaging in a wide and flat field while maintaining short exposure times.

The main difference that distinguishes Baader HSO F / 2 filters from other, more universal products available on the market is the very high transmittance within the transmitted band. By qualified Baader Planetarium zdo³ali eliminate the problem of touch ± months many conventional filters in skopasmowych ±, ± cy rely on maximum shift d³ugo¶ci wave (CWL, Center-wavelength) beyond the width po³ówkowej transmisyjno¶ci bandwidth (FWHM). Thanks to the careful selection of the initial CWL shift, the Baader HSO filters are characterized by excellent optical efficiency, perfectly corresponding to the light of the f / 2 ÷ f / 3 order.

Great emphasis was also placed on the selection of the FWHM parameter, thanks to which these filters perfectly cope with the widening of spectral lines, guaranteeing the obtaining of an image with amazing contrast, which gives particularly spectacular results, for example when photographing emission nebulae.

Highlights of the Baader HSO 31 mm F / 2 filter set

• three narrowband filters designed for use in astrographs with extremely high luminosity
• shift of the maximums of the transmission bands for Hα, SII and OIII lines optimized for exposure at f / 2 - f / 3
• carefully selected half-width of the transmission bands guaranteeing high contrast
• surface polished substrate covered with dielectric coatings
• for use with 31 mm filter wheels - rimless filters
