Baader HSO 36 mm 6.5 nm CMOS-optimized is a complete set of astronomical filters covering the HSO palette, intended for use in professional astrophotographic sets based on instruments with light in the f / 10 to f / 3.5 range. The filters were designed taking into account the quantum efficiency typical for CMOS matrices and the signal to noise ratio, thanks to which it was possible to achieve equal weights between the Hα, S II and O III bands.

All filters included in the kit are characterized by a very narrow transmission band (FWHM = 6.5 nm) and a high, exceeding 90 percent transmission capacity. The standard efficiency in the transmission band goes hand in hand with the ability to block the remaining spectral lines by almost one hundred percent, including light pollution emitted by mercury lamps (435.8 nm, 546.1 nm, 577 nm, 578, 1 nm) and sodium (598 nm, 589.6 nm, 615.4 nm, 616.1 nm). For the sake of full parafocal character, each filter was mounted on a 2 mm thick glass substrate.

In order to protect against glare, the manufacturer used the excellent Baader Reflex-Blocker ™ coating, as well as the darkened edges of the lenses. This type of connection, together with a very narrow transmission window in each of the HSO bands, makes the Baader HSO 36 mm 6.5 nm CMOS-optimized set offer the user an unprecedented image quality. especially in terms of contrast.

Each filter is made with Life-Coat ™ technology developed by Baader, which guarantees long life and prevents flaking and other types of degradation.
