The newest set of L-RGB filters by Baader, designed for astrophotography with monochrome CCD cameras. A series of black and white images obtained successively with the use of red (R), green (G), blue (B) and luminance (L) filters can be assembled using appropriate software into a color image whose details æ and the quality when the whole operation is carried out correctly is much better than in the case of a single image obtained from a color camera. R, G and B filters are used to expose subsequent color components, the L filter is responsible for mapping the entire visible range, cutting off the infrared and ultraviolet bands (works in the same way as UV / IR Cut filters). It is a set of filters of excellent quality, they are characterized by very steep slopes of the permeability band, the characteristics are almost rectangular in almost the entire width of the permeable band, the filter efficiency reaches 97% -99%. Moreover, between the green and red filter bands there is a narrow but clearly marked distance, in which the sodium line emitted by street lamps is located. In a way, the set acts as a filter reducing light pollution (LPR), none of the images included in the RGB sequence will register the main component of the sodium lantern light. An interesting fact is that the bandwidths of filters B and G overlap slightly at wavelengths close to 500 nm - this allows to use the combination of filters B and G as an O III filter.

Filters included

• filter B - blue - band from about 380 nm to 510 nm. Contains O III and H-beta lines
• G filter - green - band from approximately 390 nm to 580 nm
• R - red filter - band from about 595 nm to 680 nm. It contains the H-alpha and S II lines
• L filter - luminance - visible band from 400 to 685 nm, cuts off ultraviolet and infrared

Each filter is packed separately in a protective plastic box.
