The optics are based on an apochromatic, three-element lens φ = 85 mm. Brightness and contrast are ensured by high-quality XR layers and a dielectric coated roof prism. There are many good things to say about the mechanical side of the Vortex Razor spotting scope, perhaps nothing bad. Massive structure, beautifully protected with a high-quality rubber coating. The eyepiece and focusing knob work great. The whole thing is completed by water resistance and argon filling.
