Fenix TK35 2018 is the latest version of the flashlight, which does not need to be presented to any lamp lover.
The modernized version has been equipped with the latest Cree XHP35 diode emitting a maximum light beam of 1300 lumens at a distance of up to 480 m, an innovative light mode switch and the possibility of charging via the Micro USB port. TK35 2018 is a powerful light source intended for tactical and uniform applications, rescue, as well as exploration and tourism.
Building
The massive body of the flashlight is made of lightweight aviation aluminum, with high resistance to damage and low weight. The surface of the flashlight has been anodized type HAIII. This is the most advanced method of anodization, also known as hard anodizing, giving the surface a hardness up to 65 on the Rockwell scale. The hard oxide coating is an excellent insulator, extremely resistant to abrasion and scratching. The middle (grip) part of the body is knurled, which prevents the flashlight from slipping out of a wet or slippery hand. The cutters on the head increase its surface, thus facilitating the removal of excess heat generated during long lighting. On the back of the flashlight there is a convenient double switch and a clip for a lanyard or a safety line.
Optical system
Fenix TK35U 2018 owes its extraordinary lighting parameters to the use of a powerful XHP35 (Xtreme High Power) diode, size 3.5 x 3.5 mm. The XHP35 provides a wide 125º viewing angle. The LEDs from this series are designed for the construction of directional reflectors and are often used to illuminate large objects, e.g. sports. The increase in efficiency and efficiency allowed to obtain a maximum luminous flux of up to 1300 lumens (light of 4700 candela) with a range of 480 meters! The smooth SMO reflector is responsible for the reflection of the light. Thanks to this, the flashlight has a more focused main stream, which also increases the range of the light. The flashlight achieves low light losses with a highly transparent tempered glass lens with an anti-reflective coating.
Power
The flashlight is powered by two 18650 batteries, mounted in a special adapter, which, when pulled out, also acts as a charger. The integrated Micro USB port allows you to charge the batteries without purchasing a standard charger. For this purpose, all you need is the included USB cable and an external power source, eg a power bank. LED indicator shows charging (red color) and full battery charge (green color).
The Fenix TK35 UE 2018 flashlight only supports 18650 batteries with a protruding plus. The design of the accumulator compartment does not allow the use of flat plus accumulators. We recommend using original Fenix batteries.
Service
Fenix TK35 2018 is equipped with a double switch, which includes: a large tactical switch and a small function switch for switching modes. The seemingly complicated system of switches is extremely simple and convenient to use, high responsiveness means that the selected function or mode can be accessed immediately. In tactical mode, we have TURBO light and STROBO light. The function switch allows you to choose between one of 5 levels of brightness (Eco → Low → Med → High → Turbo), the STROBE function and the SOS signal. The flashlight also has the function of immediate entry into the strobe light mode, which is used for self-defense and tactical applications.
Additional Features
The undoubted advantages of the flashlight include the automatic battery level indicator, which informs the user in a simple and legible way about the status of the battery or the need for charging. The indicator shows information each time the flashlight is turned on, by means of the back two-color LED. The low battery warning is triggered automatically when a predetermined voltage level drops. The flashlight also has an overheating protection function. After reaching or exceeding the temperature of 65 ° C (in TURBO mode), the flashlight automatically reduces the light beam by a few lumens, until the temperature is lowered to a safe level. After stabilization, the flashlight gradually returns to TURBO brightness. In outdoor mode, the flashlight remembers the last used brightness level, the next time the flashlight is turned on, the brightness level is automatically set (memory mode). The manufacturer also did not forget about the protection against reversed polarity, ie incorrect installation of the batteries.
Durability
The flashlight has a high degree of protection IP68, which means that it is completely resistant to dust, small solid bodies, full immersion in water (for 30 minutes at a depth of 2 m) and a fall from 1 meter. All the parameters of the light and endurance of the flashlight are in accordance with the ANSI / PLATO FL1 standards.
