The rear-mounted digital night vision attachment NV-007 by PARD (formerly Bestguarder NV-850 Patronus) version 6.0 (NV-007) has been designed mainly for hunting purposes. By mounting the NV-850 Patronus on the eyepiece of the riflescope, we gain the possibility of free observation both with residual and complete lack of light.
The Bestguarder night vision camera is a 2 in 1 device - it acts both as a night vision cap (with the use of an appropriate reduction ring) and a classic night vision monocular. CMOS matrix with a resolution of 2592x1944 px with the IR-CUT system made by Sony-Aptina used in NV-850 Patronus has a mechanical reinforcement, thanks to which the cap can be mounted even on units with a caliber up to .300 Winchester Magnum incl. Total.
NV-850 Patronus is insensitive to harsh light, works both during the day and at night. In the basic variant, the device enables effective night observation at a distance of up to 400 meters, and after installing an additional infrared emitter, this value can be increased. The built-in 5W infrared illuminator with focus adjustment works in the 850 nm band, which is invisible to animals, an important aspect of night hunting.
The Bestguarder digital dome is powered by one efficient 18650 3.7 V cell, in addition, the user can connect an external power bank type power via the microUSB port. The built-in miniSD slot enables the installation of an SD card (up to 32 GB), on which you can record or save the materials captured with the camera in the form of video or photos. WiFi communication allows for wireless connection of the NV-850 Patronus with the application for Android or iOS.
Bestguarder NV-850 Patronus (Pard NV-007) in the newest version is a lightweight, compact digital night vision device with considerable possibilities. The image we get on the built-in LCD screen with a resolution of 800x600 px is sharp, contrasting and full of details.
