The monochrome ZWO ASI1600GT camera combines all the features of the ASI1600MM Pro camera, supplementing it with a built-in electronic filter wheel.
The heart of this camera dedicated to nebula photography is the Panasonic MN34230ALJ in 4/3 "format, with a resolution of 16 MPix and a single pixel diameter of 3.8 µm. Combined with a negligible reading noise of only 1, 2 e with 30 db amplification and a 12-bit analog-to-digital converter, an extremely versatile design was obtained, which, apart from its main purpose, also works well in planetary photography.
The built-in filter wheel holds 5 filters 1.25 "and 31 mm and is driven by a quiet stepper motor. The filter holder is made of aviation aluminum alloy, specially treated to eliminate the possibility of internal light reflections.
