Female saddle clamp in the Vixen standard, designed for use with mounts and heads featuring a Losmandy-style interface. The clamping force is transmitted via an intermediate pressure plate, effectively protecting the telescope dovetail bar from point pressure and eliminating the risk of screw marks or surface damage – a solution commonly used in Losmandy systems.
The saddle is manufactured from aluminum, providing high rigidity and secure clamping even for heavier optical setups. Multiple threaded mounting holes allow easy integration with a wide range of mounting plates and adapters.
