Meade LX90 8" ACF f/10 is a professional catadioptric telescope mounted on an automated fork mount, intended for both visual observations and planetary astrophotography.

The heart of this instrument is an aplanatic optical system made using Advanced Coma-Free™ technology, which guarantees an extremely sharp, astigmatism-free image. The LX90 8" ACF f/10 model is also equipped with an enlarged main mirror with a diameter of 209 mm, made of borosilicate glass with reduced expansion. This means that this instrument makes much better use of the entire field of view, while being less sensitive to changes in thermal conditions.

All optical elements are additionally covered with an anti-reflective UHTC™ coating, which transmits on average 15% more light than other multi-layer coatings. Thanks to the use of this technology, the images obtained are very bright and contrasting.

The optical tube is mounted on a stable fork mounting mounted on an adjustable tripod. The Meade AudioStar™ controller is responsible for controlling the assembly, with a database of 30,000 objects.
