Tele Vue Nagler 31 mm Type 5 is the most famous of the wide-angle eyepieces of this series - offering maximum real field of view with exceptional image quality. It is this model that has become the object of desire of sky lovers who own large Dobsonian telescopes. Thanks to the appropriately designed hybrid construction and 82-degree field of view, observing deep sky objects takes on a unique dimension.
The Nagler eyepieces were created by Al Nagler to provide the largest possible angle of view while maintaining comfort and image quality. Type 5 includes, among others, this legendary model with a focal length of 31 mm, which, in combination with the appropriate telescope, can provide a field of view of up to 6.2°, while maintaining high contrast, sharpness and minimal distortion at the edges of the field. Thanks to excellent optical correction and high light transmission, it is ideal for observing extended objects such as open clusters, nebulae or the Milky Way. • 82-degree field of view at 31mm focal length • very good correction of astigmatism, coma and distortion • FMC coatings and darkened lens edges ensure high contrast • perfect for Newtonian telescopes f/5 and brighter • comfortable observation thanks to the large exit pupil distance (19 mm) • field of view depends on the telescope, e.g.: • - Newton 200/1200 – magnification 39×, field 2.0° • - 80ED refractor – 19× magnification, 4.0° field • - ZenithStar 66 refractor – 12× magnification, 6.2° field • optical system: hybrid • focal length: 31 mm • apparent field of view (AFoV): 82° • Diaphragm diameter: 42 mm • exit pupil distance: 19 mm • eyecup: foldable • Frame diameter: 2" • filter thread: 2" • coating type: FMC (full multi-layer) • maximum diameter: 83.8 mm • total length: 137.2 mm • 2" sleeve length: 38.1 mm • weight: 1000 g 60 months
