The Tele Vue Ethos series, introduced in 2007, is one of the most iconic eyewear families on the market. This unique construction designed by Al Nagler and Paul Dellechiaie proves that, going beyond the usual patterns, you can redefine the concept of an ideal eyepiece, combining features that seem contradictory at first glance.
The determinant of the Ethos models is a powerful field of view of up to 100 ° allowing the observation of a large area of the sky with a high magnification at the same time. The unique design of the hybrid optical system also ensures almost complete elimination of optical defects such as astigmatism or distortion, thanks to which the image is sharp and free from discoloration in any place of the field of view.
Tele Vue Ethos 17 mm 2 "was constructed on the basis of lenses covered with a full multi-layer coating and eliminating internal light reflections, baffles, which made it possible to obtain a very good contrast, both when observing planets and deep objects skies. • ultra-wide apparent field of view amounting to 100 ° at 17 mm focal length (in practice, 50% greater than in the case of glasses with the same focal length and 83 ° field of view!) • hybrid optical system • lenses covered with full multi-layer coating • large offset of the exit pupil ensuring comfortable observation • eyepiece series: Tele Vue Ethos • eyepiece optics: hybrid • apparent field of view (AFoV): 100 ° • focal length of the eyepiece: 17 mm • diameter of the diaphragm: 29.6 mm • offset of the exit pupil: 15 mm • eyecup: folded down • type of coating: full multi-layer coating (FMC) • diameter of the frame: 2 " • eyepiece length: 150 mm • 2 "lampholder length: 35.6 mm • maximum diameter: 61 mm • weight: 703 g • Tele Vue Ethos 17 mm 2 "eyepiece • plugs • warranty 60 months
