Pulsar Helion XQ / XP are the most modern non-military observation thermal imaging devices ever produced. Helion thermal imaging devices are designed and made from scratch, taking into account the recent changes in ICT and thermal imaging technologies.

The new Pulsar Helion thermal imagers are made using the recently available, uncooled thermal sensor in the 17 micrometer technology. It translates to
• 50% more magnification,
• 50% greater range,
• Very fast startup in 2 seconds
• Significantly Increased Battery Life

The Helion series with the designation XQ19, XQ38, XQ50 has thermal sensors with a resolution of 384 x 288 pixels, while the models with the designation XP28, XP38, XP50 are offered with an excellent high resolution thermal sensor of 640 x 480 pixels, up to recently available only in professional cameras and military equipment. The XQ50 and XP50 models have a huge target detection range of 1.7 x 0.5 m (eg by a human) with a distance of up to 1800 meters, which is the best result in the class of thermal imaging devices available for civilian users. However, these are not all the advantages of the latest Pulsar Helion thermal imagers - see more below.

Bayonet interchangeable lens system
The Pulsar Helion XP28, XP38, XP50 series of thermal imaging devices has unique, interchangeable lenses. Now, after buying additional lenses, you can combine a large field of view, excellent resolution, the largest range and magnification, so you can now have 3 thermal imagers in one!

Passive cooling with a thermal radiator
What's more, all 6 models of Helion thermal imagers are equipped with a special heat sink that dissipates heat from electronic circuits, which significantly reduces the noise level and the calibration frequency - this solution was also taken from the device professional days. As a result, the image is crisp, clear, high-contrast and very fluid (Helion thermal imagers use a refresh rate of 50 Hz).

Built-in video and photo recorder
All Helions have an integrated video and photo recorder using an internal memory with a very large capacity of up to 8 Gigabytes. The operation of the recorder is simple and intuitive, and thanks to the introduction of digital technology for data transmission in Helion thermal imaging devices, the quality of the recorded image is incomparably better than in the case of external MPR and CVR recorders used so far, while eliminating inconvenient and emergency cable connections .

Replaceable battery with Lithium-Ion technology
A novelty is the replaceable Li-Ion IPS5 battery used in the Helion thermal imaging devices. It is a 5.2Ah rechargeable battery that allows for continuous work for 8 hours, much longer than in the case of standard AA batteries. The lithium-ion battery technology allows the construction of currently the lightest and most efficient batteries in the world. Optionally, IPS10 batteries with up to twice the capacity are available for an operating time of up to 20 hours, as well as special adapters for CR123A or AA batteries.

External power supply via microUSB 5V socket
The external power supply method is also unique, in which Pulsar engineers strived for the maximum convenience of working with the device - now, external power supply can be connected via a microUSB 5V socket, compatible with many peripherals:
- chargers for phones and tablets
- car chargers
- external batteries, so-called powerbanks with 5V output voltage
- USB outputs of laptops, PCs

Moreover, connecting the power supply from the above-mentioned With devices with sufficient capacity, it is possible to maintain or slowly charge the IPS battery connected to the Imager. This port also serves as wired data transfer from the Imager to the computer.

Huge magnification, smooth digital zoom
Helion thermal imagers have a smoothly changed digital magnification, which, depending on the XQ19, XQ38, XQ50 models, is 1 ... 4x, and in the XP28, XP38, XP50 models, it can reach even 1 ... That can be even 20x! Apart from a smooth change, a step change is also possible, every 2x.

Wireless cooperation with a smartphone and a tablet thanks to the built-in Wi-Fi network.

Wi-Fi communication is a complete revolution for Helion thermal imagers. The Imager can communicate with external mobile devices - smartphones and tablets with iOS / Android system, on which, using the appropriate, free Pulsar "Stream Vision" application, you can:
- view live image from the Imager
- control all functions of the Imager
- record video and take pictures from the Imager
- view, delete and download recordings from the Imager
- broadcast live via YouTube

In addition, there is an optional remote control with a rotary manipulator known from other Pulsar products, designed for convenient use of the menu.

Full resistance to external conditions IPX7

The Helion thermal imager is fully resistant to environmental conditions. The device has an IPX7 degree of protection, which means that it is resistant to immersion up to a depth of 1m for up to 30 minutes. The use of AMOLED displays allowed to adapt the thermal imager to proper operation in the temperature range -25 to +50 degrees and guarantees the highest quality image with contrast and readability unattainable for devices with LCD displays.

In addition to the above news, Helion continues to provide users with access to proven Quantum Imaging features:
optional wireless remote control to control basic functions remotely time to switch the device on 2 seconds to refresh the image up to 50Hz!
• 8 color modes, including the appreciated red mode, selecting the hottest parts of the image!
• Stadiametric rangefinder with the silhouette of a rabbit, a boar and an elk for a quick assessment of the distance of the target.
• "display off" function instantly turns on / off the display without turning off the device
3 predefined picture modes
- forest mode
- target identification mode
- city mode

The user interface is friendly, operated by means of 4 buttons on the upper side of the body.

In summary, Pulsar has created a revolutionary thermal imager for the most demanding.

>> FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS <<

Question : What is the difference between a night vision device and a thermal imager?

Answer: The night vision device enhances the visible light (380 - 780 nm) and the light that is slightly near infrared. The thermal imager is sensitive to electromagnetic waves of a greater length, of the order of a few - several µm, that is several dozen times greater in length. The EM waves, which a typical thermal imager is sensitive to, correspond to thermal (thermal) radiation. The night vision requires light that can amplify (that's why in full darkness we need IR emitters), the thermal vision device also works in complete darkness, in fog, smoke, etc. The advantage of night vision, apart from simply different imaging and in connection with with this different perception of detail, there is higher resolution and lower price. The advantage of thermovision is work in all conditions and easy detection of heat sources, which is of fundamental importance in rescue, and is useful, among others. Hunting, property protection, sea navigation, nature observation.
