Sky-Watcher EQ6-R is a new version of the popular NEQ-6 Pro mount that has undergone a facelift and technical modernization. The EQ6-R is based on the technology used in the AZ-EQ5/6 hybrid assemblies, by replacing the toothed gears with a belt gear.
The head of this mount weighs 17.3 kg, the tripod 7.5 kg, and the load capacity of the whole is 20 kg for visual observations / 15 kg for astrophotography (counterweights not included). The whole thing is controlled by the SynScan hand controller.
The assembly has saddles that allow the attachment of both dovetail rails in the Vixen standard and Losmandy type rails. • PPEC (Permanent Periodic Error Correction)
