Barlow GSO 2x lens in 1.25 inch frame - two-element, achromatic optics fully covered with anti-reflective layers ensuring excellent color correction and good optical performance. Good blackening of the lens sleeve virtually eliminates glare. Additional feature: allows direct connection of the camera with replaceable optics through the T-2 thread
In addition, the Barlow lens allows you to use it as a 1.5x Barlow and a photographic adapter, according to variants below.
Option I - 2x Barlow lens The use of a complete lens allows you to increase the magnification of the used eyepiece by a factor of 2. For example, a 30mm eyepiece with a Barlow lens will function as a 15mm eyepiece.
Option II - 1.5x Barlow lens The optical element of the Barlow lens placed in a metal frame can be unscrewed from the sleeve and screwed into the eyepiece filter thread, making it compatible with almost all 1.25 "eyepieces. By installing it in the eyepiece using the eyepiece filter thread, we obtain a system that allows by 1.5 times the magnification of the eyepiece used For example, an eyepiece with a focal length of 30 mm together with the optical element of a Barlow lens will function as an eyepiece with a focal length of 20 mm.
Option III - 30 mm eyepiece connector The lens tube without the optical element can be used as an eyepiece adapter (extension) with a length of 30 mm.
Option IV - photo adapter for T2 thread If the telescope extraction does not end with a T2 thread, then after unscrewing the lens element, the Barlow changes into a 1.25 / T2 photo adapter. The main advantage of using Barlow lenses is that they allow you to limit the number of glasses while providing a wide range of available magnifications. For example, having 2 eyepieces with 30 and 15 mm focal lengths, and using a Barlow lens, we get two additional magnifications corresponding to eyepieces with 10 and 5 mm focal lengths. In addition, Barlow lenses do not change the offset of the exit pupil of the glasses ( eye relief ), allow the focus to be extended further from the tube (when we have a problem with sharpening the image) and allow to double the focal length when taking pictures of the sky in the focus of the lens. | • times: | 2x (optional 1.5x, see above) | | • barrel standard / diameter: | 1.25 inch | | • anti-reflective layers: | FMC | | • T2 adapter (M42 * 0.75): | YES | | • eyepiece mounting system: | a brass clamping ring | | • weight: | 83 g |
