Orion StarShoot 5 MP is a color planetary camera with a high resolution of 5 megapixels, with very small pixel dimensions of 2.2x2.2 ?m. Thanks to such properties, the camera allows to obtain a large scale of the image useful in planetary observations, guaranteeing at the same time a correspondingly high resolution of the image.
The software included with the EZPlanCap camera is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10 and Mac OS X Lion, Mountain Lion and later. EZPlanCap has a very useful Auto Dark Frame Removal tool that allows you to remove hot pixels and minimize noise from live-view frames (live view). In this way, both the material for further processing and what we see live on the screen is characterized by significantly improved quality.
Camera images can be saved in TIF, BMP, JPG, or PNG formats, and movies as AVI (Windows) or MOV (Mac).
