Orion USB Eyepiece II is a color camera that lets you view and record (save as photos or videos) images seen through an astronomical telescope.
The camera allows you to make movies with 24 frames per second and a resolution of 640x480 pixels (physical resolution). Thanks to this, the films are smooth, characterized by good contrast and detail. In this way, this camera works well in both individual observations and astronomical demonstrations (schools, associations) as well as observation and filming of terrestrial objects ( planes , landscapes, etc.)
It is mounted in the hood instead of the traditional 1.25 inch / 31.7 mm eyepiece, and the image is transferred to the computer using a USB cable. | • Resolution (display, photos and videos): | 640x480 pixels | | • Matrix: | 640x480 pixels 1/4 "0.35MP CMOS RGB progressive scan 8 bit | | • Number of frames per second (FPS): | 24, in full resolution | | • Sensitivity of the matrix: | 1.0 V / lux-sec | | • The size of a single pixel: | 6 ?m x 6 ?m | | • Power supply: | from the computer's USB port | | • Camera mounting diameter: | 1.25 "(31.7 mm) | | • Mounting to the telescope: | instead of an optical eyepiece, in the extractor | | • Length of the USB cable: | about 1.5 meters | | • Integrated cable: | no, so you can use a USB cable with a length of up to 8 meters | | • USB port properties: | supports both USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 | | • Compatible operating systems: | Windows XP / Vista / 7/8 (with Orion Amcap - Win 10 requires different software for the camera) | | • Weight: | 50 g |
