Oil immersion is intended for use in microscopes equipped with oil immersion objectives - usually with 100x magnification and numerical aperture NA≥1.25. It can also be used as an immersion liquid for condensers intended for this purpose (e.g. for dark field, Abbe with NA≥1.25). The presented product is a high-class immersion oil intended for microscopy. It is refined and chemically treated cedar oil. Unlike ordinary cedar oil, it is characterized by almost complete lack of color, appropriate viscosity, low fluorescence and a high refractive index similar to that of glass: 1.516.
