F / 6.3 field reducer and equalizer for Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. It is a 4-element optical system that allows for significantly shorter focal length and lighting time in SCT telescopes. • Equalizer fits all Schmidt - Cassegrain telescopes offered by Celestron and Meade • the corrector has a male SC thread on the eyepiece side, so the telescope accessories are used the same as without an equalizer • the telescope focal length is reduced by a factor of 0.63 - 1000 mm becomes 630 mm, 2000 mm -> 1260 mm, 3000 m -> 1890; this allows you to get the same surface brightness of the photo after 40% of the time, compared to shooting without an equalizer • appropriately selected equalizer curves flatten the SC field of view, offering a fully corrected field with a diameter of 24 mm • the corrector also improves the quality of images in visual observations - the sharpness at the edges is improved; we suggest using an equalizer in conjunction with 1.25 inches glasses • thread from the telescope side: SC, female • camera-side thread: SC, male • Optimal camera distance from the SC thread: 85 mm +/- 12.5 mm (+/- 15%) • optical system: a four-element equalizer with an air gap, with MC layers • reduction factor: 0.63x • Diameter of the corrected field: 24 mm • purpose: SCT tubes from Meade and Celestron and others, with standard SC thread on the back of the tube • length: 34 mm / 24 mm without thread • weight: 125 g
