A specialized low-pass filter mounted in front of the Canon EOS 5D Mark II camera in place of the factory IR-cut filter. Its use opens up completely new possibilities for astrophotography enthusiasts equipped with digital SLRs. As you know, the factory filter "cuts" the majority of radiation with a wavelength longer than 650 nm, not saving also the hydrogen line, so important from the point of view of nebular photography. Our replacement allows a several-fold increase in transmittance in the H-alpha line of 656,28 nm, and thus several times improves the quality of photographs of emission nebulae, both the brightest and the most remote ones, hidden within the structures of millions of galaxies in the Universe.
