Two 80 mm lenses covered with MC layers offer a powerful ability to collect light and, consequently, very bright images. Within the scope of this binoculars there are hundreds of astronomical objects: clusters, nebulae, galaxies, and also double stars and asterisms. The ability to collect light in binoculars with 80 mm lenses is more than 2.5 times greater than in 50 mm objective binoculars (such as the Nikon 10x50 EX) and 30% larger compared to 70 mm binoculars (eg Celestron SkyMaster 15x70 ). Binoculars with three-element lenses offered by TS are characterized by very good correction of chromatic aberration and ensure perfect quality of obtained images. The advantages of lens-type triplets are: • better field size - sharp image on both the optical axis and the edges of the field of view • reduction of color falsification: blue world is significantly reduced, increased resolution • less distortion - better representation of the shapes of objects in the whole field of view All the optical surfaces of the binoculars were covered with good quality MC layers, thanks to which high contrast and light transmission parameters were achieved. The optical UHC ( Ultra High Contrast ) filters, which are inserted into the tracks, significantly improve the contrast of observations of many gas nebulae and reduce the impact of urban glow on the quality of images (ie they are also light pollution filters). The binoculars can be used with or without UHC filters. Filters "start" by moving the thumb-wheel next to the glasses by inserting them into the optical path of the binoculars. The binoculars are characterized by a large eye relief equal to 17 mm. Thanks to this, both those who wear glasses and those who live without them can comfortably observe the entire field of view occupied by the binoculars. An additional advantage is the reduction of the phenomenon of condensation on the surface of the glasses, observed when we have to close the binoculars close to the face. People wearing glasses will appreciate the possibility of developing eyecups. The binoculars are exceptionally mechanically resistant and will survive all hardships of transport and use. Of course, you should avoid impacts, dropping from height, as this may result in the loss of collimation or mechanical damage. The metal bridge of the binoculars combined with individual sharpening separately in the right and left eyepiece eliminates typical problems such as loosening of the spectacle bridge or breakage of the pull of the central focusing knob.
In transport, the safety is ensured by an aluminum suitcase in the set.
The binoculars have an integrated foot that attaches to the photographic tripod. At a weight of 2.4 kg, the binoculars can be mounted on any tripod with a 1/4 inch mount. Of course, you should consider a more powerful photographic tripod, guaranteeing high rigidity and lack of vibration of the whole. | • Lens diameter: | 80mm | | • Zoom: | 20x | | • Lens construction: | triplets (three elements) | | • Exit pupil: | 4mm | | • Retraction of the exit pupil: | 17mm | | • Construction of prisms: | porropryzmatyczna | | • Material of glass elements: | optical glass BaK-4 | | • Minimum distance of observation: | 20m | | • Field of view: | 3.2 ° / 56m / 1000m | | • Twilight efficiency: | 40 | | • Anti-reflective layers: | MC | | • Rubberized body: | YES | | • Integrated stabilizing bar with foot for a photo tripod: | YES | | • Resistance to weather conditions: | YES | | • Focus range / minimum observation distance: | from 30 meters to infinity | | • Adjusting the focus: | individually left and right eye | | • Case: | aluminum suitcase | | • Dimensions [cm]: | 23 x 33 x 13 | | • Weight: | 2400g |
