The SynScan EQ3 GoTo upgrade kit is a complete set enabling the conversion of the traditional SkyWatcher EQ3-2 equatorial mount to the Pro version, which is perfect for both visual observations and astrophotography setups.
The drive of the declination and right ascension axes is realized by stepper motors. The torque is transferred to the axes by means of durable gears. Thanks to the inclusion of all the necessary accessories in the set, their assembly is trouble-free and very intuitive.
The entire set is controlled by the SynScan controller, whose software is responsible for, among other things, periodic error control and backlash reduction, and has a huge database of astronomical objects.

Answer: It guides and tracks, tracks and guides. You don't have to use GOTO (search, guidance), you can use just tracking. When you use GOTO, once you find an object, the system immediately follows the object, keeping it in the field of view for the next minutes and hours. Question : Does the kit include everything you need?
Answer: The set does not include a power supply. To control it, you need a smartphone that supports communication with the installation via WiFi.
