The Celestron Astromaster 130 EQ telescope is a classic Newtonian telescope on an equatorial mount with slow-motion controls. It's a great introduction to amateur astronomy. It gathers almost 350 times more light than the human eye. With a 130mm diameter, the telescope allows for a wide range of fascinating observations of the Moon, planets, and many deep-sky objects. With this telescope, you'll see, among other things: • craters on the Moon - the result of cosmic collisions • phases of Mercury and Venus - evidence that they orbit closer to the Sun than the Earth • ice caps on Mars • belts in the atmosphere of Jupiter and its four moons - by observing the changes in the positions of Jupiter's moons, we see the Solar System in miniature • Saturn's ring with the Cassini gap • the discs of Uranus and Neptune, planets unknown to the Ancients • the brightest asteroids, such as Ceres and Vesta • comets - icy lumps that travel through the solar system • color of stars, double stars and variable stars • beautiful open clusters, such as the Manger in Cancer, hi chi in Perseus or the Ptolemaic Cluster in Scorpio • globular clusters that Einstein said demonstrate the power of gravity, such as M13 and M53 in Coma Berenices • gas and dust nebulae where new stars are born, such as M42 in Orion or North America in Cygnus • distant galaxies, such as the Andromeda galaxy M31 or M33 in the Triangulum. All it takes to carry out the above observations is a little commitment and patience, and the results will be absolutely fascinating.
Additionally, the set includes a CD with The Sky Level 1 software.

The set includes the following accessories: • 1.25'' focuser • Plossl eyepieces: 20 mm (magnification 33x) and 10 mm (magnification 66x) - standard 1.25'', apparent field of view 50° • Star Pointer scope • EQ-2 / CG-3 equatorial mount with micro-movements • 1.25" diameter steel tripod with adjustable height • Shelf for accessories • Educational CD "Sky Level 1" (in English) 3-year manufacturer's warranty on mechanics, 2-year warranty on electronics

This device focuses a large amount of light. Looking directly at the Sun through it can cause partial or complete vision loss. For observing the Sun, we recommend the safest method, eyepiece projection, which projects the image of the Sun's disc onto a sheet of paper.
