Sky-Watcher 0.86x coma corrector and focal reducer for Quattro 150P (Sky-Watcher, SKU: SW-5420) is an optical accessory designed for astrophotography with the Sky-Watcher Quattro 150P 150/600 mm Newtonian telescope. The corrector reduces coma typical of fast Newtonian telescopes, improving the point-like appearance of stars outside the centre of the frame. At the same time, it works as a 0.86x focal reducer, shortening the telescope focal length and making the whole optical system faster.

When used with the Sky-Watcher Quattro 150P telescope, the corrector reduces the focal length from 600 mm to approximately 518 mm, changing the focal ratio of the system from f/4 to approximately f/3.45. This provides a wider field of view and shorter exposure times, which is especially useful when photographing nebulae, galaxies, star clusters and other deep-sky objects.

The corrector has been designed for imaging with sensors up to APS-C format. On the camera side, it uses an M48x0.75 thread, which makes it easier to build an imaging train and reduces the risk of vignetting compared with the smaller T2 standard. On the telescope side, the corrector fits 2" / 50.8 mm focusers. The construction also includes a 2" filter thread, allowing the use of astronomical filters in this standard.

The required working distance from the corrector to the sensor is approximately 54-55 mm. In practice, this value should be treated as a starting point for precise spacing adjustment, depending on the camera, adapters and image quality at the edges of the frame. In some foreign stores, the corrector is also found under the designation Komakorr1506.
