Photos from description

Steiner T432 4x32 Rapid Dot 7.62 Prism Sight is a compact optical sight with fixed 4x magnification, designed for rapid target acquisition at short and medium ranges. Its 32 mm objective lens, wide field of view and short overall construction provide good situational awareness and comfortable operation on various platforms equipped with a Picatinny rail.

Variant 8797900103 features the ballistic Rapid Dot reticle developed for the 7.62 mm calibre. When illumination is switched off, the reticle remains black, while activation illuminates the entire reticle in red. The ballistic holdover marks allow compensation for bullet drop, and the manufacturer specifies their use at distances of up to 700 m after the sight has been correctly zeroed at 100 m.

The illumination system offers 10 brightness settings: five daylight settings, three intended for low-light conditions and two compatible with night-vision devices. Operation is controlled by a rotary selector, while power is supplied by a widely available CR2032 lithium battery.

The fully multi-coated optical system provides a bright and clear image. The field of view is 7.9 m at 100 m, eye relief is at least 70 mm, and the -2 to +2 diopter adjustment allows the reticle focus to be matched to the user's eyesight. Parallax is factory-fixed at 100 m.

The sight is supplied with an integrated mount compatible with the MIL-STD 1913 standard. Included 3 and 5 mm spacers raise the optical-axis height to 42 or 44 mm respectively. An additional Picatinny rail on top of the housing allows an auxiliary sight or another compatible accessory to be installed.

Rubber armouring increases the housing's resistance to impacts and provides a secure grip. The construction withstands forces of up to 600 G, is nitrogen-filled and protected against internal fogging. According to the manufacturer's manual, the sight is submersible to a depth of 5 m and can operate at temperatures from -20 to +60°C.
