Sky Rover Optics 130SAP 130/650 f/5 Petzval Astrograph is an advanced instrument designed for demanding astrophotography, including work with larger sensors. This model uses a five-element Petzval design with a native flat field, so it does not require an additional flattener or backfocus calculation. The manufacturer emphasizes very good Super APO correction, high focal plane stability, and the ability to achieve small, pinpoint stars across the entire image field.
• Petzval astrograph with a 130 mm aperture, 650 mm focal length, and f/5 focal ratio
• five-element apochromatic optical design of the air-spaced quintuplet Petzval type
• native flat image field - no additional flattener required
• suitable for astrophotography with larger sensors, including medium-format sensors
• very good Super APO optical correction
• optical system using SD, ED, and HR glass elements
• very good star point reproduction - central RMS below 1.3 µm, GEO below 2.7 µm
• at the edge of the field for medium-format sensors, RMS below 2.9 µm and GEO 5.5 µm
• high relative field illumination - about 58% at a 55 mm image circle
• 3.7" R&P focuser with microfocuser and 42 mm effective travel
• new CAA rotator included as standard for convenient framing
• rear connection threads: M68 × 1, M54 × 0.75, and M48 × 0.75
• thread at the focuser tube end: M100 × 1
• tube rings with additional mounting holes, a multifunction handle, and a dual finder base
• Losmandy-style dovetail plate
• designed for astrophotography - the manufacturer does not recommend use with visual accessories such as a diagonal
• Sky Rover Optics 130SAP optical tube
• 3.7" R&P focuser with microfocuser and CAA rotator
• tube rings with multifunction handle
• dual finder base
• Losmandy-style dovetail plate
