The Sky Rover Optics 102 mm F/7 APO PRO apochromatic telescope is a compact refractor designed for both visual observation and astrophotography. The optical system uses an air-spaced triplet apochromatic objective with a Japanese-made Super ED element, providing excellent control of chromatic and spherical aberrations even at very high magnifications.
The upgraded 2023 version introduces a mini flange design that improves the stability of the optical axis and focal plane while also making maintenance and adjustment easier. The rotating mechanism previously located at the rear of the tube has been removed to increase mechanical axis stability. The redesigned 2.5" Rack & Pinion focuser has improved construction, and the end of the focuser now integrates the new CAA field rotator with an engraved angle scale for precise image framing.
The telescope features new dual tube rings with multiple mounting holes for attaching accessories. It includes a Vixen standard dovetail plate and a patented carrying handle compatible with both Vixen and Arca mounting systems. The 2023 version is also shorter than the previous generation, making the telescope more portable and convenient to transport.
