The Sky Rover Optics 115 mm APO F/7 apochromatic telescope is a high-quality refractor designed for both visual observation and astrophotography. The optical system uses an air-spaced triplet apochromatic objective including an ED glass element, providing excellent chromatic aberration correction and high image contrast.
The telescope is equipped with a precision 2.5" Rack & Pinion dual-speed focuser. The entire focuser assembly is CNC machined and features an internal anti-reflection design with matte black finishing to effectively suppress stray light and improve image contrast.
The instrument can be used with an optional 1× field flattener or a 0.8× focal reducer. The field flattener corrects field curvature and coma, producing flatter image edges and sharper star points, while the 0.8× reducer shortens the effective focal length and increases the focal ratio to approximately F/5.6, allowing wider fields of view and shorter exposure times for astrophotography.
The telescope features a detachable tube extension that allows easy switching between visual observation and astrophotography configurations. This design enables the installation of binoviewers, prisms and other visual accessories. The CAA field rotator is available as an optional component supplied together with the flattener or reducer.
