The Sky Rover Optics 150 mm GPA telescope is a large apochromatic refractor designed for both visual observation and astrophotography. The optical system uses an air-spaced ED doublet objective including a Super ED glass element, providing good chromatic aberration correction and high image contrast.

With a focal length of 1200 mm, the telescope performs well for lunar and planetary observation as well as imaging of smaller deep-sky objects. In many cases good imaging quality can be achieved even without a field flattener, particularly when used with CCD or CMOS cameras featuring smaller sensors.

The telescope is equipped with a 2.5" Rack & Pinion dual-speed focuser and a detachable extension tube at the rear, allowing flexible configuration for different applications. By removing the extension tube, accessories such as binoviewers and other visual instruments can be easily installed.

The aluminum optical tube features multiple internal baffles to suppress stray light. The objective assembly is mounted using a hidden flange construction, which increases the structural stability of the optical system.
