The Optolong L-PRO Sony FF Filter (Optolong, SKU: L-PRO-SONYFFV2) is a multi-band broadband filter designed to effectively suppress light pollution while preserving the natural colors of celestial objects. It is intended for Milky Way imaging and continuous spectrum targets, helping to restore details and improve contrast.
• multi-band broadband filter for light pollution suppression
• selective reduction of artificial lighting emissions from mercury vapor and high- and low-pressure sodium lamps
• suppression of natural skyglow caused by atmospheric oxygen emission
• high transmission of main nebular emission lines: O-III (496nm, 500nm), H-beta (486nm), N-II (654nm, 658nm), H-alpha (656nm), S-II (672nm)
• improved color balance compared to UHC and CLS filters
• suitable for visual observation and astrophotography
• effective for imaging galaxies, reflection nebulae and globular star clusters
• very low transmission reduction for continuous spectrum objects
• increased contrast between the object and the night sky background without artificially brightening the object
• infrared suppression allows use for luminance imaging with CCD cameras
• suitable for sub-rural areas with heavy light pollution
• substrate material: optical glass
• thickness: 1.0 mm
• blocking range: 300–750 nm
• light pollution line blocking depth: >90%
• surface quality: 60/40
• surface figure accuracy: λ/4
• parallelism: 30 arcseconds
• format: Sony FF Clip-in
• compatible cameras: A7, A7 II, A7 III, A7R, A7R II, A7R III, A7S, A7S II, A7S III, A9
• applicable lenses: full range of Sony E-mount main and auxiliary lenses
• warning: Optolong filters are not designed for solar observation
