The Optolong L-PRO Nikon FF MK II Filter (Optolong, SKU: L-PRO-NIKON) is a multi-bandpass filter designed to suppress light pollution while preserving a natural color balance. It is intended for Deep Sky imaging of continuous spectrum objects such as galaxies, reflection nebulae and globular star clusters.
• multi-bandpass filter for effective light pollution suppression
• selective reduction of artificial lighting emissions from mercury vapor and high- and low-pressure sodium lamps
• suppression of unwanted natural skyglow caused by atmospheric oxygen emission
• high transmission of main nebular emission lines: O-III (496nm, 500nm), H-beta (486nm), N-II (654nm, 658nm), H-alpha (656nm), S-II (672nm)
• improved color balance compared to UHC and CLS filters
• suitable for visual observation and astrophotography
• very low transmission reduction for continuous spectrum objects
• effective for imaging galaxies, reflection nebulae and globular star clusters
• increased contrast between the object and the night sky background without artificially brightening the object
• infrared suppression allows use for luminance imaging with CCD cameras
• filter type: multi-bandpass
• format: Nikon FF Clip-in (MK II)
• compatible cameras: Nikon D600, D610, D700, D750, D800, D800E, D810, D810A, DF
• intended use: Deep Sky astrophotography
• warning: Optolong filters are not designed for solar observation
