The Oberwerk 12×50 SE ED is the largest and most capable model in the SE Series, designed for users seeking premium optical quality in a lightweight and ergonomic format. Inspired by the classic Japanese SE binoculars, this modern version enhances the original design with ED FK-61 low-dispersion glass, eliminating chromatic aberration and delivering high-definition views.
A wide 5.5° field of view and a 4.2 mm exit pupil provide bright, high-contrast images suitable for both astronomical and nature observation. The 14–17 mm eye relief allows comfortable use even for eyeglass wearers, while the precise central focusing system enables quick adjustments down to 6 meters.
The rugged body is waterproof and nitrogen-filled to prevent internal fogging. All air-to-glass surfaces are fully broadband multi-coated, maximizing light transmission and improving contrast.
