The Oberwerk 10×42 SE (Special Edition) is the mid-sized model of the SE Series, inspired by the lightweight, ergonomic design of the legendary Japanese SE binoculars. Compared to the originals, the Oberwerk 10×42 SE delivers noticeably improved optical performance thanks to its ED FK-61 low-dispersion objective lenses, which eliminate chromatic aberration and provide exceptionally sharp, high-contrast, color-fringe-free views.
With a wide 6.5° field of view and a 4.2 mm exit pupil, this model strikes the perfect balance between brightness, detail and portability. The precise central focusing system allows quick and accurate adjustments, while the short 4 m minimum focus distance makes it suitable even for close-range observations.
The binocular body is robust, fully waterproof and nitrogen-purged to prevent internal fogging. All air-to-glass surfaces are fully broadband multi-coated for optimal light transmission, ensuring bright, high-contrast images even in challenging lighting conditions.
