The Antlia H-alpha 3nm Pro Highspeed 1.25" is a narrowband imaging filter optimized for fast optical systems with focal ratios between f/2.6 and f/3.6. Thanks to the pre-shifted central wavelength it delivers a high signal-to-noise ratio and very strong nebular contrast, even under light-polluted skies and when the Moon is above the horizon.

Key features

• optimized for fast optical systems with focal ratios from f/2.6 to f/3.6 by pre-shifting the central wavelength
• 3 nm full-width at half maximum (FWHM) in the H-alpha emission line for maximum contrast of nebular structures
• high peak transmission of about 90% at the H-alpha line
• compensation of the blue-shift effect that occurs in fast optical systems
• off-band blocking to at least OD5 (0.001%) from 300 nm to 1000 nm for an excellent signal-to-noise ratio
• single-substrate optical construction to minimize internal reflections and halos around bright stars
• high optical stability and quality, reducing the need for heavy post-processing
• suitable for imaging emission nebulae, planetary nebulae, Wolf–Rayet nebulae and supernova remnants
• can be used both under light-polluted skies and at dark sites, including during bright Moon conditions
• not intended for night-time visual observation or for solar observing
• 3-year manufacturer warranty against coating delamination
• laser-engraved, non-fading markings on the filter cell

Included items

• Antlia H-alpha 3nm Pro Highspeed 1.25" narrowband filter in 1.25" threaded cell (M28.5×0.6)

Technical specifications

• filter type: narrowband, hydrogen H-alpha line
• diameter: 1.25"
• full-width at half maximum (FWHM): 3 nm
• central wavelength (CWL): 657.5 nm (pre-shifted for fast optical systems)
• peak transmission: about 90%
• off-band blocking range: at least OD5 between 300 nm and 1000 nm
• recommended focal ratio range: f/2.6 to f/3.6
• recommended use: astrophotography of emission nebulae, planetary nebulae, Wolf–Rayet objects and supernova remnants
• construction: optical-grade single substrate, non-glued
• surface quality: scratch/dig 60/40 (per MIL-O-13830)
• transmitted wavefront: λ/4 or better
• surface parallelism: <30″ (arcseconds)
• filter thickness (1.25" cell): 2.0 mm ±0.05 mm
• cell: ultra-thin, black anodized metal
• thread: M28.5×0.6
• not recommended uses: solar imaging, night-time visual observation

Warning: NEVER look at the Sun with the Antlia H-alpha 3nm Pro Highspeed 1.25" filter. Ignoring this warning can cause serious and permanent eye damage.
