PegasusAstro eXternal Motor Controller (XMC) (SKU: PEG-XMOTORCTRL) is an expansion accessory designed for Ultimate Powerbox v2, Ultimate Powerbox v3, Pocket Powerbox Advance and Pocket Powerbox Micro. The unit expands focusing capabilities by supporting a second focuser on UPBv2/UPBv3 and adding motor focus functionality to PPBAD and PPB Micro devices.

The controller does not require a USB connection. It connects directly to the EXT port of compatible Powerboxes via an RJ12 cable and is automatically recognized by PegasusAstro software. The XMC can drive a large bipolar stepper motor up to 2A per coil with high precision.

Microstepping

The controller supports configurable microstepping modes (Full, Half, 1/4 and 1/8 step). This increases resolution and provides smoother and more precise stepper motor shaft rotation.
