FocusCube Zero for Celestron SCT C6, C8, C9.25", Edge HD and RASA 8 (PegasusAstro, SKU: PEG-FCZERO-SCT68925) is a precision electronic focuser designed for remote and repeatable focusing of Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. It is a complete standalone solution intended for astrophotography setups where accuracy and reliability are essential.
The device features an integrated bipolar stepper motor with zero backlash, combined with control electronics in a compact enclosure. The absence of a reduction gearbox allows fast movement of the primary mirror, which is especially important in SCT telescopes where focusing is achieved by shifting the mirror. FocusCube Zero delivers excellent repeatability and enables precise autofocus routines based on clean V-curves.
The PEG-FCZERO-SCT68925 version is factory-configured for Celestron SCT C6, C8, C9.25", Edge HD and RASA 8 telescopes. It uses a 16- and 60-tooth pulley set, providing a 1:3.75 drive ratio optimized for the focusing mechanisms of these mid-sized SCT systems. A rigid black anodized aluminum mounting bracket (margarita style) ensures a stable and secure connection to the telescope’s focus knob.
FocusCube Zero is a standalone device with a built-in controller and does not require any external motor controller. Control is handled via USB from a PC using ASCOM drivers or the Pegasus Astro Unity Platform software. The RJ45 port on the rear of the enclosure is intended only for an optional hand controller or the included temperature sensor and must not be connected to motor outputs of other devices.
