FocusCube v2 for Celestron SCT C11", Edge HD (PegasusAstro, SKU: PEG-FCZERO-SCT11) is a compact electronic focuser designed for precise focus control of Celestron Classic and Edge HD 11-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. It is a complete standalone solution for astrophotography, enabling fast, repeatable and fully remote focusing with zero mechanical backlash.
FocusCube Zero features an embedded bipolar stepper motor with zero backlash, enclosed together with the control electronics in a compact housing. The absence of a reduction gearbox allows rapid movement of the telescope’s primary mirror while maintaining excellent positioning accuracy. This design enables highly repeatable autofocus routines and clean V-curve generation, which is essential for reliable astrophotography focusing.
The PEG-FCZERO-SCT11 version is specifically configured for Celestron SCT C11 and C14 telescopes and differs in pulley bore diameter and drive ratio. A 16- and 80-tooth pulley set provides a 1:5 reduction ratio, optimized for larger SCT models. The specially shaped black anodized aluminum SCT bracket ensures a rigid and stable mechanical connection to the telescope’s focus knob.
FocusCube Zero is a standalone device with an integrated controller and does not require any external motor controller or physical hand paddle. Control is provided via USB from a PC using ASCOM drivers or the Pegasus Astro Unity Platform. The RJ45 port on the rear of the enclosure is intended only for an optional hand controller or the included temperature sensor and must not be connected to motor outputs on other devices.
