The 2" Mounted LRGB Filter Set (PegasusAstro, SKU: PEG-FLTR-2M-LRGB) is a complete set of photographic broadband filters designed for deep-sky astrophotography with CCD and CMOS cameras. The filters are engineered to deliver maximum transmission and accurate, natural color reproduction in classical LRGB imaging workflows.
All filters in the set are parfocal, eliminating the need for refocusing when switching between L, R, G and B channels. Multi-layer anti-reflection coatings effectively suppress halos, ghosting and internal reflections, while also providing scratch resistance and thermal stability under varying observing conditions.
The set is optimized for balanced color reproduction, with equal RGB weighting (1:1:1), simplifying post-processing and color calibration. A carefully designed gap between the green and red passbands suppresses the dominant sodium light pollution line at 589 nm, improving color separation and overall contrast.
The luminance filter features precise UV/IR blocking to enhance image sharpness and reduce halos, particularly important for optical systems without built-in IR filters, such as CCD/CMOS cameras or modified DSLR and mirrorless cameras.
