The Chroma O-III 3 nm 2" Mounted (SKU: CT-27006-2M) is a narrowband filter designed for astrophotography of emission nebulae, especially planetary nebulae and supernova remnants. With a very narrow 3 nm bandwidth, it precisely isolates the oxygen O-III line at 500.7 nm, allowing for high contrast and detail images. • bandwidth of 3 nm in the O-III range (approx. 500.7 nm) • bandwidth transmission at approximately 99% • hard coatings applied using the reactive magnetron sputtering method – exceptional durability and spectral stability • anti-reflective coatings on the back surface reduce reflections and ghosting • all Chroma Astronomy filters are parfocal to each other • optimized for use with f/4 and slower optical systems, also useful at f/3 • the filter is not intended for observing the Sun • O-III 3 nm 2" filter in the holder – CT-27006-2M • type: O-III narrowband filter for astrophotography • diameter/fitting: 2" • bandwidth: 3 nm • central wavelength (CWL): approx. 500.7 nm • transmission: approx. 99% • optical substrate: 3.0 mm thick glass • coating technology: reactive magnetron sputtering (hard coatings) • coating construction: main layer on the front side, AR coatings on the back side • Transmitted wavefront accuracy: better than 0.25 waves/inch • parfocal: yes (with other Chroma Astronomy filters) • production: USA (Vermont)
