The Tauron 5-40x56 ED riflescope from Vector Optics is an advanced model with a wide magnification range from 5 to 40x, offering true 8x magnification. It features an illuminated VTA-8 MIL reticle located in the first focal plane (FFP) that scales with magnification. The reticle line allows for assessing the distance to the target, its size, and manual bullet drop correction. Turret adjustment is accurate to 1/10 mil per click, with a vertical range of 25 mils and a horizontal range of 12 mils. The turrets feature a special extension that acts as a lock to prevent accidental adjustment. The 56 mm objective lens is made of ED glass with a high visible light transmission coefficient and features a full-coverage coating to reduce reflections, ensuring a bright and clear image. The eye relief is 100 mm, which, combined with the large objective lens, allows for comfortable observation. The 34 mm diameter tube is made of 6061 T6 aircraft-grade aluminum and is nitrogen-filled to prevent fogging of the lenses inside the scope. The device is shock-resistant up to 1000 G and meets the IP67 sealing standard, guaranteeing protection against water and dust. The eyepiece has a diopter correction range of -2 to +2, and the objective lens focus can be adjusted using a knob from 15 yards to infinity.
