The Optolong L-Para 2" multi-band filter has been designed for professional astrophotography. Using this type of filter not only allows you to achieve spectacular effects in terms of image quality, but also shorten the exposure time by simultaneously collecting the signal from the main emission lines of nebulae, as well as star clusters and galaxies.
This filter transmits over 90% of light in the spectral lines emitted by ionized hydrogen atoms (Hα) and oxygen (OIII). In combination with efficient cutting of spectral lines characteristic of sodium and mercury lamps and LED lighting, it allows for recording sharp, detailed and contrasting images even near large cities or during bright, moonlit nights.
The Optolong L-Para 2" filter can be used with both digital SLR cameras and CMOS / CCD cameras. The filter is also adapted for use with high-aperture optical tubes, at f/2. • dual band high transmission filter for OIII and Hα lines • compatible with digital SLR cameras as well as CCD or CMOS cameras • high efficiency in cutting out light pollution • adapted to work with optical tubes of very high light intensity • filter type: multiband filter • Filter diameter: 2" • transmitted bands: OIII (495.9 nm, 500.7 nm), Hα (656.3) • Half-width transmission window for OIII band (FWHM): 10 nm • Half-width transmission window for the Hα band (FWHM): 10 nm • maximum transmission for OIII band: >90% • maximum transmission for Hα band: >90% • blocked light pollution bands: mercury lamps (435.8 nm, 546.1 nm, 577 nm, 578.1 nm), sodium lamps (598 nm, 589.6 nm, 615.4 nm, 616.1 nm) • Optolong L-Para 2" filter • plastic protective packaging 36 months
