The OAG MAX Player One (SKU: POA-OAG-MAX) is a full-frame off-axis guider designed to work with cooled Player One cameras from the Artemis, Poseidon and Zeus series. The 8 x 14 mm prism (aspect ratio close to 16:9) is located only 8 mm from the optical axis, which minimizes vignetting even in full-frame configurations. The total optical length of the module is 17.5 mm, so it easily fits into the typical back-focus budget with a filter wheel or FD MAX drawer. • 8 × 14 mm prism – no vignetting on full-frame matrices • distance of the prism from the optical axis: 8 mm – greater light flow for the guiding camera • M48 × 0.75 (telescope side) and M54 × 0.75 / M42 × 0.75 (sleeve set) body threads – quick integration with Player One FD MAX reducers and filter wheels • anodized aluminum 6061-T6 body – high stiffness and low weight • replaceable spacer sleeves allowing precise adjustment of the guide camera distance • Clamping screws and micro-movement of the prism height adjustment – easy focusing and avoiding vignetting • full compatibility with 1.25″ / T-thread (M42) standard cameras thanks to the supplied adapter
• supported main cameras: Player One Artemis, Poseidon, Zeus (M54 thread) – can be used with other cameras after using an adapter • prism: 8 × 14 mm, anti-reflective coatings, height 8 mm • optical length (back-focus): 17.5 mm • body threads: telescope – M48 × 0.75; camera – M54 × 0.75 (M42 × 0.75 adapter included) • Guide camera socket diameter: 1.25″ (with M28.5 × 0.6 filter thread) • material: aluminum 6061-T6, anodized • weight: 185 g
OAG MAX is the perfect choice for users who want to run full-frame rigs without an additional guider. The large prism, rigid housing and small thickness make the guider easy to fit between the reducer/flattener and the camera, maintaining full illumination and precision guidance even at focal lengths exceeding 1000 mm.
