The milling of the body and its geometric profile prevent the flashlight from slipping out of the hand and provide excellent grip. The PD36R PRO also features a steel clip that allows for quick attachment of the flashlight to the equipment and its easy extraction. The detachable clip also prevents the flashlight from rolling off an inclined surface. The flashlight has a new control system, now consisting of two rear buttons of different shape and functionality.
The light source is a new generation LUMINUS SST70 LED diode, emitting a maximum light stream of 2800 lumens at a distance of up to 380 m. The cool-neutral light color reduces eye fatigue, provides more natural color rendering and better visibility of details. The flashlight uses anti-reflective glass with high light transmission and a smooth reflector, providing a concentrated light stream with a strongly illuminated center of the scene. Thanks to this design, a concentrated light stream was obtained, which can illuminate objects even up to 450 m away.
The user has 6 light modes at their disposal: turbo, high, medium, low, eco and strobe, thus allowing you to adjust the lighting to your own needs. It is worth emphasizing that the total operating time of the flashlight in turbo mode 2800 lumens is almost 3.5 hours!
The flashlight is powered by a 21700 cell with a huge capacity of 5000 mAh! The battery used has twice the capacity of a standard 18650 cell, which obviously translates into huge efficiency and impressive operating time.
The PD36R Pro has a built-in USB-C charging port, allowing for very fast charging of the cell. Just 10 minutes of charging provides up to 5 hours of work in 150 lumen mode! The USB-C port also allows you to charge the flashlight from a portable power bank, significantly increasing the mobility and capabilities of the Fenix PD36R Pro. The socket is protected against moisture, water and dust with a rubber plug. Thanks to the battery level indicator function (diode in the body) and low voltage warning, we can control the flashlight's operation and manage the remaining energy supply. After turning on the flashlight, the indicator informs us about the battery status for 3 seconds.
The PD36R Pro flashlight has two rear switches: a round one and a smaller oval one for changing modes. The main button activates the momentary light and switches on continuous lighting. The smaller oval button is responsible for changing the light brightness and switching on the strobe. Thanks to the memory function, the last used lighting mode is automatically selected after the next activation of the flashlight. The Fenix PD36 TAC uses APF (Advanced Transmission Technology), which reduces the susceptibility of electronics to interference.
The flashlight has several safety systems, including reverse polarity protection, low voltage warning and "intelligent protection" against overheating, which reduces the brightness of the light after heating to 60°C in order to cool down. The high IP68 protection class makes the flashlight resistant to complete immersion in water (30 minutes at a depth of 2 m), dust and dirt, and falling.
