Now you can take even better advantage of the high precision and stability of the new Celestron Evolution series of Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes and increase the capabilities of the NexStar SE series telescopes! The equatorial wedge is used to transform a telescope, normally equipped with an alt-azimuth mount, into a telescope on an equatorial mount - a fork mount, single-arm. The wedge is placed on the telescope tripod, simply mount the telescope to the wedge and set the appropriate geographical latitude of the place of observation on it. The Celestron remote control included with the telescope takes care of selecting the appropriate tracking mode (AZ <-> EQ). The wedge weighs 7.5 kg and has a very high load capacity and mechanical stability. The equatorial wedge is invaluable when taking long exposures of deep-sky objects because it eliminates the field rotation that occurs when tracking objects with altazimuth mounts. • Evolution: 6" / 8" / 9.25" • NexStar SE: 6" / 8"
