This artificial star allows you to test your telescope and also to adjust it perfectly. Use the precious clear nights to work with your telescope. Here the adjustment of the telescope is much more accurate than at night, since you work indoors and do not have problems with air turbulence, also it is always a problem to use instruments in front of the optics in the dark. To collimate a telescope or to detect optical aberrations such as astigmatism or coma you only need a short distance between the telescope and the artificial star. In these cases due to the extended focal plane you may need extension tubes to achieve focus. Spherical aberration is very difficult to detect using an artificial star. You should place the star at a much greater distance from the telescope. A distance in meters equal to one third of the aperture in millimeters is recommended, for example, for a telescope with an aperture of 200 mm you should place the artificial star at least 66 m away from the telescope. Cylinder size: 1.25" (31.8mm, can fit into any earpiece holder) Regulation: variable from 3.5V to 12V Artificial star size: 30μm - 0.03mm Voltage regulator: included 1/4" thread on bottom for easy connection to a tripod, etc...
