The parallelogram mount solves one of the biggest problems with using large binoculars: they are big and heavy, so they are impossible to hold in your hand and the images are blurry, making them unusable. Tripods don’t always solve the problem as they don’t allow you to easily point the entire celestial vault. The Artesky parallelogram is developed primarily for astronomical use but can also be used for naturalistic use. Made entirely of aluminum and steel, it maintains a very appreciable lightness and robustness. With a load capacity of up to 7kg and a 100mm opening, it is equipped with an L-shaped head capable of moving 360° on the horizontal axis and completing a 180° arc on the vertical axis, very comfortable when sitting. The mount's arm travels through a 90° arc while the mount can rotate 360° on the horizontal axis connected to the tripod. The parallelogram features a 3/8” tripod mount, a double 1/4” and 3/8” mount for binoculars, a sled for balancing the binoculars with safety catch and a 20mm diameter counterweight bar. It is possible to remove the original attachment on the L-head and attach a Vixen or Losmandy clamp with a 1/4" attachment and be able to mount telescopes. Observation becomes much more comfortable and simple without tiring the observer. Thanks to the parallelogram design, the height of the optics can be adjusted without losing the object framing. This ingenious feature is perfect for group observations or with children. Balance is guaranteed by a counterweight with a 20mm hole to be purchased separately from the mount. | | Type | Mount for astronomical binoculars | | Maximum load (kg) | 7 | | Total weight (kg) | 20.4 |
