Askar Colour Magic D1 Duo-band Filter 2" is a high-quality filter that can dramatically improve the contrast and detail of photographs of nebulae, even in conditions of heavy light pollution.

This filter transmits light emitted by ionized oxygen atoms (OIII) and hydrogen atoms (Hα). By simultaneously exposing both spectral ranges, it is possible to take great shots without the need for filter wheels or a dedicated set of separate filters. Compared to the Askar Colour Magic C1 Duo-band 2" filter, the D1 model is characterized by a reduced half-width of the passband and a much higher equivalent optical density for the blocked bands.

Askar Colour Magic D1 Duo-band Filter 2" is not recommended for visual observations. Under no circumstances should it be used as a solar filter.
