Antlia Solar Discover 5 Å / 0.5 nm CaK is a specialized bandpass filter that transmits radiation emitted by ionized calcium atoms. With its help, it is possible to obtain the most detailed images of sunspots, surface granulations and many other structures occurring on the Sun.

The passband in the CaK line (393 nm) of the Antlia Solar Discover 5 Å / 0.5 nm CaK filter has a half-width of just 3 nm, which allows for obtaining images that stand out with excellent resolution and contrast. High optical efficiency in the passband goes hand in hand with the ability to almost completely block other spectral components in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 12312-2 safety standard. The construction of the filter holder has been designed in such a way that it can be used with dedicated Barlow lenses.

Note! The Antlia Solar Discover 5 Å / 0.5 nm CaK filter is designed for use with ultra-sensitive astronomical cameras only and is not suitable for visual observations. Use of the filter with refractors with an aperture larger than 100 mm and with third-party diagonal attachments or Barlow lenses requires the use of an additional ERF filter.
