SVBONY SV550 122 mm is a professional optical tube dedicated to advanced users looking for uncompromising quality of an instrument that constitutes the basis of an astrophotography set. This design is a development of the SVBONY SV550 80 mm model, which has been receiving excellent reviews.
SVBONY SV550 122 mm is an advanced apochromatic triplet that is one of the best optical systems used in professional astrophotography. In order to best correct the main optical defect of lens telescopes, i.e. chromatic aberration, the optics of this instrument are equipped with a lens made of low-dispersion glass (ED) type FPL51, which is one of the flagship products of the Japanese company Ohara, known for producing the best grades optical glasses. Full multi-layer coating (FMC) is responsible for eliminating reflections and improving image contrast. The telescope is equipped with a solid rack & pinion extractor with a diameter of 2.5" and a gear ratio of 1:10.
In addition to impeccable optical parameters, the SVBONY SV550 122 mm optical tube is characterized by high quality and precision of mechanical elements.
